About the event

In honor of Dutch-American Friendship Day, master storyteller Jonathan Kruk brings to life stories of the “First American,” Adriaen Van Der Donck, and how Yonkers got its name, with guest appearances by curmudgeonly Peter “The Headstrong” Stuyvesant, haunting river spirits, and more. Audiences of all ages will enjoy Kruk’s rollicking blend of local history and lore.

Storyteller Bio:

Jonathan Kruk is a master storyteller renowned for his dramatic solo shows of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and "A Christmas Carol." Jonathan has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, The Today Show, and the Travel Channel. He's written two books on Hudson Valley lore, has made several award-winning recordings, and is a perennial favorite at schools, libraries, festivals, and historic sites.  He is delighted to return in period costume to majestic Philipse Manor Hall.

Tickets:

Tickets are $15 per person, $10 for kids ages 16 & under and for Friends of Philipse Manor Hall (not a Friend? Join when you buy your tickets to receive the discount!). Seating is limited, so advanced registration is strongly recommended. Tickets include museum admission and refreshments.
